Reno x Rude Doujinshi Scanlation

Posting a scanlation I just finished of the first story from the Reno x Rude anthology "Eternal". I thought it summed up the pairing perfectly and was wonderfully sweet and well written, so I wanted to share the Shinra-Love. I also added some colour scans from the book (4 in total, plus a silly one I photoshopped)

Title: Eternal (first story)
Circle: Syuri
Scanlation: Laurama
Pairing: Reno x Rude (Final Fantasy VII)
Warnings: Shonen-Ai implications, an awesome kitty
Links:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/i6ryuq

http://rapidshare.com/files/275300980/Reno_X_Rude_Anthology-_first_story.zip.html

Please feel free to share this if you like with other communities/ online avenues. I know how hard this pairing is to find, so spread the love! There are a couple other stories and lovely colour pictures that I will scan, translate and post soon. Enjoy <3

L fanart

Hello there!

Just wanted to share some fanart of L, a slightly more realistic, Kenichi Matsuyama inspired approach. Comments are always appreciated.

Also, the deviant art link, if you're interested ^_^
http://laurama.deviantart.com/art/Change-the-World-79083395

L Photos

Hello there!

I just thought I'd share these. A couple of weeks before the L movie comes out there is going to be a photo book of L released in Japan. A literary magazine called Shosetsu Subaru just released 5 sample photos of Matsuyama Kenichi dressed up as L as a promotion.

I thought everyone would like to see them ^_^ I'm sorry they are not very good quality, I don't have access to a scanner at the moment, so they are photos of the magazine taken with my camera, but they are really lovely. Especially the one of L in the bath. Please enjoy! Cheers.

So... there's an Anime Con here in Vancouver at the end of August. I'm definitely going, but I'm also wondering if I should get a costume together... if I do, I'm wondering who to go as.

Any suggestions? An anime or game character that I look enough like (who isn't stupid) that a costume wouldn't be a huge ordeal to get together. Something reasonably simple that I can pull off without a tremendous amount of effort.

YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!

A life dream is realized. Oh. My. God.

I. Am. Going. To. See. Iron. Maiden. Live. Oh my holy crap!!!!!!!!!!

So, yesterday, I went on the Ticketmaster website to see if there are any concerts in Seattle. Michael and I wanted to go down there for a weekend at some point over the summer, so I checked to see if there were any worthwhile concerts in the area.

August 11th (day before my birthday) Ozzfest is in the area (Auburn, Washington). We have tickets! They cost a pretty penny, but we have tickets!

Here's the line-up:

Main Stage: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Mudvayne, Shadows Fall, Black Label Society, In Flames.

Hot Topic Second Stage: Rob Zombie, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Mastodon, A Dozen Furies, The Haunted, Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Bury Your Dead, It Dies Today, Soilwork, Trivium

So, not only do I get to see Iron Maiden, but a whole bunch of other awesome bands (I'm excited about Sabbath, Rob Zombie, In Flames, Arch Enemy and the Haunted in particular). And Iron Maiden are only touring with them for a month out of the summer and it happens to be while they are in our area! I'm trying not to get too excited, because they could cancel, or we could get stopped at the border or something. I mean, I'm not there until I'm there. But, but, but...OH MY GOD!!

Time for an update. It's been a while, cause I've been crazy busy. It all began last weekend...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael and I went up to Cache Creek (four hour drive from Vancouver) to visit two of his really good friends Matt and Chad for Grafitti Days, an annual vintage car festival. We left after work on Friday and got there around 9:30. We went out to the bar there and had some drinks and I got to meet a bunch of Michael's crew from high school which was pretty cool. The next day we hung around and went to Grafitti days and then to a BBQ at Chad's house. Chad's Mom is from small town Newfoundland, and unfortunately I had to correct about a dozen people that I am a Newfoundlander, not a Newfie. Frustration. She doesn't mind the term, so their whole family thinks it is acceptable to call me that as well. That night Chad had a party and it was horrible. There were a bunch of party crashers and some bad crap happened with all the sensible people leaving (including Michael) to go make sure some chick at a bush party was ok. I really hate that kind of party. Drinks with friends are all well and good, but a house party where everyone is drinking to get sick are depressing at best.

Then Sunday was awesome. I don't have time to get into it right now, but suffice to say it rocked.

Chad came back down to Vancouver on Monday with us (took a sick day) to stay with us for the week. He's leaving today. It was fun having him, but exhausting. I was out every single night this week until late and am quite burned out right now. Lots of clubbing, movie-watching (Batman Begins and Howl's Moving Castle, Miyazaki's new and fantastic film) and catching up with people I hadn't seen since coming back from Newfoundland. Also, Kaya Payne is in town for the summer which is absolutely wonderful! It's been so long since we've connected.

In other news, Michael and I have tickets to Alice Cooper on October 19th! Very exciting. And Bruce Campbell is doing a book signing at Chapters this Sunday. I think I might have to go and get me an autograph.

Tomorrow is my last day of work... tonight I need to pack, do laundry, dishes, sew some crap that has holes in it. And memorize my lines. This is a long story that I don't have much time for now, but it is very good news. And tomorrow, I perform my scene, get all pretty, go to Michael's birthday thingy and then hopefuly have some just us time before I leave. WEEEEEEEE. How did all this stuff sneak up? Plus I have a fairly intense quota at work tomorrow. *breathe*

But, I can't wait. I'm so excited! I can't wait to see you all!

Most random Friday ever.

Michael and I were sitting around, and James gave us a ring. He found out that Shonen Knife were playing at the Brickyard that night and tickets were cheap and so we went. It was wicked. They are super cute and random and they did an awesome Ramones cover. Apparently they haven't been in Vancouver for seven years, so I'm assuming they just tour in Japan. I thought they toured more than that over our way, so it was a rare treat to see them, cause who knows when they'll be back.

Weekend of Relax.

Oh man, I was such a lump this weekend! Normally I feel guilty about not doing stuff I should do to make me a better person (ie. be active, do art stuff, maybe study a little Japanese, read, clean, organize, all that stuff), but I sat on my ass playing Suikoden 4 and I feel soooooo relaxed now. Except on Saturday night I went to Greg's birthday dinner at Subeez which was a blast!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Suikoden 4 is a pretty sweet game. It's my favorite RPG series, cause my favorite part of any RPG is collecting characters, and Suikoden has 108 of them! The graphics aren't great in this one, they lack pollish and certain events happen too fast (a little rushed perhaps?) and sea naviagtion is a little annoying, but overall it kicks ass! You get to sail and build a huge boat and there are pirates everywhere, some of whom you team up with.

http://www.rpgfan.com/pics/suikoden4/tv-003.jpg

Lady Kika= Awesome Sexy Pirate Lady in foreground. Best. Character. Ever.

Anyways, I gotta run, but yay! 39 days til I come home!

You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

agnosticism

88%

Paganism

71%

Buddhism

46%

atheism

46%

Satanism

42%

Hinduism

38%

Christianity

25%

Judaism

25%

Islam

25%

</td>

Which religion is the right one for you?
Actual Update

Time for an actual update!

Where to begin? Well, firstly, I've now booked my plane ticket home! I'll be back from May 6th-28th. Three whole weeks, which I'm quite excited about. I can't wait to see everyone (that means YOU! ^_^) and it'll be amazing to be home again, go downtown, go dancing, go to Sun Sushi, all that good stuff. Plus, it'll be my vacation, so yay to not having to use Photoshop for three whole weeks!

What else? A couple weeks ago I had a Photoshoot. A local photographer put out a general call for "goth/punk/alternative models" so, I thought why not, could be a bit of fun. Patrick contacted me to come have a shoot. It was great! Some of the pics are posted in my "gallery" on www.bluekaffee.com (same user name)if anyone wants to take a look! There's also something very exciting in the works along the same lines, but I don't want to talk about it for fear of jinxing it. Potentially more later...

Been doing more fun things, being less of a fuddy duddy. Went to the Improv Olympics last week (ah, nostalgia), went to the East Coast Bar "The Atlantic Trap and Gill", went dancing at a gay bar with Jennie, went to a Sex in the City Trivia night with Kat, plan to go to a comedy bar with Rob and Tamara, watching more anime (Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex goodness). There's so much to do in this city, but you need the $$$. Problem is, if you're earning the money, you don't have a lot of time.

Well, there it is I think. The news. Gonna go draw some cherries.

Ergh!

That's it. Enough is enough. I'm going to the doctor. Michael is coming to meet me and bring me my blood test papers. I eat well most of the time, but sometimes my blood sugar dips so low that I can barely stand up, barely stay conscious, barely focus, barely walk, barely speak. Usually when this happens, it's cause I forgot to eat (it happens) but this time I'm weak and nauseated and woozy and I ate a decently big lunch four hours ago and had yogurt and a granola bar an hour ago, and I feel full like I couldn't eat a bite if my life depended on it. But at the same time, I feel like how a person might feel if they hadn't had anything to eat for the entire day. I don't understand this. I hope the results can indicate something, cause this isn't right...

Time for an update. Not sure where to begin...

Firstly, awesomeness. I asked work about time off. As contractors we could take however much time off we wanted (within reason obviously) but now that we've all been made full time employees (not sure if I mentionned that...) we are limited to 2 weeks off. I was hoping to take 3 weeks off for a trip back home, and I spoke to my manager and he said that given the fact that I was planning the trip before I was made full time, I can take the 3 weeks! So, YAY!! I'm going to Travel Cuts when I get payed on the 15th to buy my ticket. I'll leave Vancouver Friday the 6th and come back on the 29th. So, 3 whole weeks and a weekend for travel. I'm soooooo excited!!

What else? Michael and I had an AMAZING aniversary. We went to the revolving restaurant at Harbour Center, which is one of the best restaurants in the city. We spent a bit, but it was so worth it to get all dressed up and have such a great time. The view from up there of the city is magnificent, the food was the best I've ever eaten and the service was incredible. The waiter was even french!! And did the whole wine testing thing and they brought us more cutlery than anyone needs and came back to the table to serve the wine whenever our glasses were low, and put it in a classy ice bucket. And to top it all off, they had classical music playing, and had a Josh Groban CD on shuffle! It was one of the best evenings of my whole life. It topped my grad night for the "I feel like a special princess" feeling and with the best of company! Holy crap awesome.

Other than that, I've been going to work, visiting people (although I want to go out and _DO_ more things, less house visiting and more going to places and exploring, cause I feel like a fuddy duddy sometimes), going to the pool, going to the gym, playing Sonic (yay PS2 anthology), and I've been trying to do more art stuff. I'd really love to get involved with an amateur theatre group or something too. And I found out that the Improv Olympics are happening this month, and I'm SO going to go watch something. Doesn't matter what. Just for old time's sake. *sniff*

Today I have a meeting at UBC with an academic advisor. I'm going to find out more about the Japanese program there. I'd really like to do it and have a university degree and it makes more sense to do it sooner rather than later. Cause later on, it could be harder to get back into the school thing. I'm pretty excited about it really. I'll find out some stuff, apply and if I get accepted, I'll decide from there what I'm going to do. It would be hard to give up a nice paycheck, but I could possibly work something out to do part-time here perhaps. And I'll have half a year to save too. So, yay for moving life forward a bit.

I've been going swimming twice a week religiously. The Aqua Center is a less than 15 minute walk from my house, and the walk's along the beach, so double yay. It makes the difference not having to walk, ride the worse bus line in the city (soooo crowded, you often have to wait for a few to go by before the driver lets you on) and then walk again. To and from used to be over an hour before, plus an hour at the pool in total, it used to be 2 1/2 house out of my life. But now I can get there, have a good swim and get back in a little over an hour. Yay.

Eh... this is sort of a pointless entry. I haven't made one in a while, so I figured I'd update. Slow day at work today. They ran out of tours for us to do at the moment. They'll be more printed up soon, but until then. I think I'll do a bit of logo design. We're having a t-shirt design contest.

In closing The Phantom of the Opera movie ROCKS. Soooooo good. I love love loved it. GO see it. Yar!
